MuruCeramics is a ceramic design studio founded by Wojtek Skowronek graduate of Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (Poland). His studio specialises in producing fine handcrafted porcelain objects. The ivory items are often delicate and so thin that they can be easily seen through. Translucency is the main characteristic of the material Wojtek is working with.
All inspirations come from nature and even geometrical shapes such as heptagonal can be found in natural environment. Heptagon as a graphic sign of number seven has been my favourite theme for many years. Number seven is appearing throughout my life quite often. It is also regarded as lucky number. It has became a real base not only for creating whole series of tableware but also for other every day use objects such as door handles, lamps and flower pots.
